I can’t describe why I like this track Holograms by Butterclock – it reminds me of something that I can’t quite put my finger on. Oh wait she sounds a bit like Grimes but I still love it.

I really loved the first release Recover from Scottish Synth-Pop group Chvrches but i have a new favourite with the release of their latest single Gun. This really makes me wish we were heading into summer and not winter down here!
I have been eagerly awaiting the release of the new Daft Punk album and if the first track Get Lucky is anything to go by then its going to be pretty amazing. I’ve had this track on very high rotation for the past few weeks as I can’t get enough of the disco funk vibe – helped by the work of Niles Rodgers founder of one the most important disco groups Chic
I have been off the radar for a couple of months but what better way to get back into it with the official video for the new collaboration between Boris Dlugosch and the amazing Róisín Murphy. I posted a sample back in February but here is the full version finally of Look Around You.
Two in a row from London based producer/DJ Clancy. Sleepless Nights is another great house track (early 90’s anyone?), and its also available as a free download via his facebook page.
More new music so soon you ask? This ones got more of those retro vibes. This track from London based producer/DJ Clancy, How To Hold On To You, has been playing over and over all afternoon. You can grab this as a free download from Soundcloud too
Little Boots has a new album Nocturnes coming out this may, almost 4 years after her debut album Hands. The first single Motorway has just dropped with a great bit of new pop music with a retro early 90’s club feel. And to top it off you can download this track free! Check out the link below the video.

Normally I wouldn’t think a Police or Sting song would fit with my blogs vague themes I think this re-imagining of Roxanne by Strange Talk is worth a mention.
It has been 12 years since Róisín Murphy last worked with Boris Dlugosch on his house track Never Enough and they are finally back working together! Here is just a sample of a new track due out sometime this year, I’m already very excited by this snippet of the yet unnamed track
Great news to hear record of the year won at this years grammys by a Kiwi – Kimbra (and of course Oz Gotye) for Somebody That I Used to Know. They also picked up the pop duo/group performance award for the same song. Brilliant.
