OK not so much new music, but finally after many months there is a video for the amazing deep house track Simulation from the equally amazing Róisín Murphy. Check it out here

I’m back after 3 weeks of downtime. I promise to be good and not do that again.
A little bit Santigold, a little bit Lykke Li, Danish singer MØ might be one to watch out for in 2013. Releasing her first single last year, she is set to release her debut album this year.
Her new track Glass has just dropped but I can’t find a good source for it, in the meantime you can check it out at HardCandyMusic
8/2/13 Update: you can now listen to this track via soundcloud here
I mentioned Psychedelic Furs about a week back in reference to the M83 track Kim & Jessie and it put them back in my mind again. This is not only one of my favourite Psychedelic Furs tracks, but also their highest charting single.
Heartbreak Beat from the 1987 album Midnight to Midnight
I have been a fan of Melbourne electro-pop band Strange Talk for the past couple of years, since they released their self titled EP in 2011. Naturally I was excited to hear their first full length album Cast Away is out next month. According to the bands Facebook page it will drop in New Zealand and Australia on Feb 8th. The album will include their first release Climbing Walls and the newest single Cast Away which is a great electro-pop gem from late last year. Check it out here:
Things have been a bit quiet on the Blog this week. Too much going on here, time for a wine and some music now!
I have long been a fan of the great Róisín Murphy and late last year she lent her vocal talent to this great track from Luca C & Brigante. If you haven’t heard it before check it out. Another perfect summer track.
Ok so not strictly ‘New Music’ since this song was released in October last year, but Haim is a group to watch this year if other blogs predictions are anything to go by (oh and not to mention them being named the BBCs Sound of 2013) – and with their debut album due out this year you better check this out .
First day back at work after two week Christmas break, so rolling out some early 00’s French House from Superfunk to chill out to – this brings back memories of some great nights out! Check out Lucky Star featuring Ron Carroll from the album “Hold Up”
A warm summer night calls for some 90’s Chilled trip-hop from Nightmares on Wax, especially the tracks, Les Nuits & Survival, both featuring vocals of Sara Winton. Someone pour me another drink.
I’ve been a fan of Pat Benatar for a very long time, but you don’t often hear her remixed. This is a great reworking by Gottfried Beyer of a 80’s classic track. Did I mention I’m fond of the 80’s?
